Robert G. Morris is from Des Moines, Iowa. He has a Ph.D. degree in physics from Iowa State University, and he joined the Foreign Service after working as a scientist. He served in Washington, Paris (USOECD), Bonn, Buenos Aires, and Madrid. Morris and his wife Beverly have three sons and three grandchildren. Now retired, they make their home in Ashland, Oregon, where they never miss a play at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival.
