After teaching in the Greenup County, Kentucky school system for thirty years, being honored eight times by being listed in Who’s Who of American Teachers and becoming a member of the honorary sorority Alpha Delta Kappa, Georgia Dodd Purtee has retired from teaching and has become a Master Storyteller and Humorist/Speaker. Mrs. Purtee, called a Doctor of Laughology by some of her audiences, has spoken to thousands of adults and middle school students on the benefit of laughter, choices and responsibility. Mrs. Purtee lives in South Shore, Kentucky with her husband of thirty-nine years and four cats.
