Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, Donna Wudyka was hired by the Detroit Police Department in 1987. She retired from it, on a duty-related disability, in 1997. Today, after the experience of seeing how suddenly a life can be taken, she finds that sobriety, serenity, and quality time spent with her family and friends are the most important priorities in her life.
