The author loves the beauty of nature, and enjoys hikes in the mountainous areas where it is most abundant. She loves the fact that she grew up in the area of Virginia where the mountains seem to touch the sky. She likes to reminisce about the forefathers who gave all their might, and labor to settle land around the rugged mountain areas to make a life for their families while preparing a much better presence for those who would follow them.
