Biography:
The author attended his first football game when he was ten days old, then went to church two days later. A fourth-generation Episcopal priest, he holds degrees from the University of the South (Sewanee) and Virginia Theological Seminary. In forty years of ministry….four parishes were served, over three thousand sermons, speeches, and rector’s messages were written, and several tracts were published. The Lord sent seventy men out with the charge, “The harvest is great, but the laborers are few.” Maybe He sent a seventy year-old for the same reason.
