Betty Yates Nagell retired from a career as a civilian employee of the Navy Department. She enjoys reading, loves a good mystery, and writes as a hobby. She has published a three-book series about the trials of a Navy wife, based on her own experiences. She lived in various southern states and was intrigued by the lovely old southern mansions. She decided to use a southern setting in writing this mystery novel. Widowed, she is now married to a former Navy man. They reside in Alta Loma, California.
