Mark Berenson was born and raised in the Boston area. He is a retired chemist, technical service manager, and quality assurance director who spent his working life in Lynchburg, Virginia, and Baltimore, Maryland. In addition to family and genealogical interests, he is also an amateur photographer, an avid Red Sox and Celtics fan, and an unsuccessful gardener. He runs a Web site devoted to the rescue of homeless Siberian huskies, while enjoying the companionship of two blue-eyed beauties of his own. Much of his spare time is devoted to a search for Cape Cod’s best lobster roll.
