Abstract:
Farrell’s “Commuter Novels” are short stories paired and published together. They are written for enjoyment in a few hours—such as a plane commute from one coast to the other. “Alligator” is a post-9/11 terror suspense set in the Louisiana South. A small group of citizens band together with native Louisiana alligators to rescue Nell Berger, a woman just trying to enjoy a beach vacation in the sun. “Cannon Mouth” follows Roy Benson, an enterprising military man that thwarts a terrorist plot off the east coast and, of course, gets the girl.
