Abstract:
Jewels for the Taking is the story of Julian James, a boy who became a man in a rough neighborhood in Memphis. To escape his destiny, he found adventure and riches as a soldier of fortune. After finding the woman of his dreams then losing her, he was sent spiraling into self-destruction filled with gambling and addiction. He became obsessed with the reason for his existence, studying philosophy and the mysteries of the past. Wanting the control and power that he lost, he resorts to a diabolical means to control his end. The question remains; will the world end before his true awakening.
