Abstract:
Thunder boomed near Charles Corey hurrying along the river boardwalk to his condo unit. Lightning bolt strikes a dolphin near Charles. An arc pierces his left knee. He’s rushed to hospital. Tests are taken; is released next day. Discovers he can mentally transmit words to dolphins; he understands words uttered by them. Gives name of Sandy to one who says she has fishhook in throat; a surgeon removes fishhook. Charles assigns names to female and male dolphins. He becomes acquainted with nurse’s aide. He has more trouble with her than dolphins, but eventually they’re married.
