Abstract:
The author – a former Catholic and now a Unitarian – informally debates Catholics on the validity of their religion. He challenges priests, nuns, and laypersons, from conservative to liberal. Does Catholic theology make sense? Priests forgiving sins? Church infallibility? Is the liberal approach a more sophisticated understanding, or just sophisticated rationalizing?

He talks to ex-Catholics who disclose their poignant personal experiences. He talks to Unitarians. Then he is himself challenged on his theistic beliefs by atheists.

BOOK 1 deals with New Age movements, and major Christian sects, such as Mormonism and Jehovah's Witnesses. Book 2 covers Protestantism – conservative, moderate, and liberal.
