Abstract:
In the early 80’s the author opened a small by-reservation-only restaurant in her home near Nashville, Tennessee, serving four course dinners with menus changing weekly. Nobody Cooks Like Ruth: Menus from Cherotree contains 175 recipes including sixteen seasonal dinner menus and six luncheon menus from this highly acclaimed restaurant. Ruth entertains the reader by weaving her easy-to-follow recipes with humorous anecdotes and personal history, as you follow the restaurant from its conception. Among the recipes included are: Grandfather Renn’s Brown Potato Soup, Tenderloin Tips with Wonderful Lemon Cream, The Mason Sisters’ Chicken Salad, Brie and Chive Flan, and Strawberries Romanoff Ice Cream.
