Abstract:
Jeffrey’s mother is going fox hunting, so Jeffrey must stay with his Aunt Ellen. “Can’t I stay home?” Jeffrey protests. “She hates me, and all those dogs and cats make me sneeze.” Jeffrey entertains himself by playing his video game, “Wizards and Page Boys” on Aunt Ellen’s old computer. He tries to stay out of Aunt Ellen’s way but, when she asks him to find a web site for her, Jeffrey feels obligated to help. Strange things begin to happen. The entire hunt, Jeffrey, and Aunt Ellen’s mastiff (‘Pixie’) are transported to another world. There, its inhabitants are enchanted by an angry wizard who is locked in the dungeon of castle. Jeffrey is blamed for all their misfortunes, and must free the wizard – “Or else…”
