Abstract:
The Velikovsky/Angiras scenario represents the successful mating of two seemingly unrelated bodies of knowledge, mythology and modern science, revealing a 3000 year sequence of chaotic interactions between Venus, Mars and Earth within proto-historical times. The sole purpose of all sacred myths was to describe these traumatic events, which profoundly influenced every culture on Earth. Scorching of the surface, widespread tidal flooding, earthquakes, massive meteorite ‘falls’, and reorientations of the surface relative to the stars, are described in many ancient texts. This was an extremely exciting but dangerous time in which to live.
