The pilot was unaware of the identities of his passengers, except for the one giving the orders. The couple had been bound, gagged, and placed next to each other on the floor of the plane. The fear in their eyes exhilarated their captor, as he ordered the pilot to help dispose of the couple.
The pilot pushed the automatic pilot button and then made his way towards the man giving the orders. It was only then that the pilot recognized the two people being held against their will. His eyes widened, and he began to shake. The man in charge held the gun to the pilot’s head and told him to comply. The man, who sat bound and gagged, nodded to the pilot, as if giving permission to the young man to do as he was instructed. With the gun still pointed at his head, the pilot reluctantly dragged the bound man over to the opening in the plane and pushed him out. He then watched the man fall helplessly to the sea below. The pilot fell to the floor and let out a piercing scream that no one, except those on the plane, heard.
The gunman then pulled the woman’s bound body to the opening. Pointing the gun back towards the young pilot’s head, the gunman ordered him to watch, as he shoved the woman from the plane. The pilot screamed again—louder the second time. The gunman knelt by the pilot and whispered, “You do as you are told, or you will be next.”
It was a few moments before the pilot stumbled back to the cockpit, still in shock. He never could recall how he had managed, but somehow he’d released the automatic pilot and flew the plane to their destination.
