Poetry, dreams, and journal entries anchor the story and keep it manageable. Every poem in the body of the manuscript has a dream section and a journal entry. One of the poems: The Midnight Battle
Sitting firm alongside Rage There was Denial on the stage. When one moved over for more room The other saw his pending doom.
Since neither wished to give up ground Each built and built his walls all ‘round. But Rage broke through the wall one day To Denial said, “Why stay that way?”
So Denial answered back in kind “I’ve always known that Rage is blind.” Then Rage said, “Oh, I can see just perfectly Your wish is to take my power from me.”
