Why The Need Is Great To Identify And Make Widely Known The Most Probable Teachings Of Jesus Christ
As will be shown in this report, with a strong basis in evidence-plus-logic, millions of mainstream Christians around the world and their pastors are today basing their lives unknowingly on teachings in the New Testament that have an extremely low probability of being what Christ taught. And this kind of error can be prevented when Christ’s most probable teachings are widely known. Also, because Christ’s teachings are God’s teachings brought to earth by Christ (See Details #62), Christ’s most probable teachings can be used to determine what God expects of us for attaining eternal life.
How Christ’s Most Probable Teachings Were Identified In This Report
The most probable teachings of Christ were identified using the method of evidence-plus-logic. This method has been found to be the most reliable way to identify high-probability information and belief in all branches of knowledge including law and religion. It is more reliable than other ways because knowledge identified in this way has been found to survive close scrutiny and the test of time more consistently than knowledge not so-based. The method consists of using various sequences and combinations of evidence and logic to establish the basis for specific pieces of information or belief. Any information or belief that has a strong basis in evidence-plus-logic has a high probability of being factually correct.
This method had its origin in the monumental lessons learned from the Galileo Scandal of the early 1600’s A.D. wherein Galileo pointed out that “Knowledge begins with observation followed by careful thought”, which is the same as saying knowledge begins with evidence (observation) followed by logic (careful thought). More detail regarding the method of evidence-plus-logic can be found in Chapter 5.
Why Christianity Was Selected Instead Of Other Religions For Identifying God’s Teachings
Christ’s teachings were selected because they are the most reliable source of God’s teachings, based on evidence-plus-logic. Of the four most prominent religions that believe in a creator of the universe, namely, Judaism, Christianity, Islam, and Mormonism, only Christianity had its origin in observation-based events. And the observations were made by hundreds of independent observers (eyewitnesses). One of these events consisted of Christ’s returning to life in perfect health after being dead for approximately 40 hours and entombed in a stone tomb for 36 of those hours. Each of the other three religions had its origin in a private subjective experience of its founder, claimed by each to be a divine revelation (information received directly from God). Galileo’s findings (See Chapters 4 and 5) made it obvious that claimed divine-revelation can provide incorrect information and is therefore an unreliable source of information. Consequently, Christ’s teachings have a much stronger origin and are a much more reliable source of God’s teachings than the other three religions.
More detail regarding why Christ’s teachings were selected for this research is given in the topic on Page 8 of this chapter.
