Africa is a continent made up of 53 countries; membership to this African club is by geographic location only. Africans living within Africa identify themselves by nationality; Africans living out of Africa identify themselves as Africans, is this Freudian slip or is there something to this.
It has been 30, 40, 50 years since independence, the seeds of Independence have been sowed; the fruits of independence have been harvested, modern day Africa is the product of such harvest. It is obvious decisions made in the past did not bear adequate fruit to meet the needs of today’s Africans. Unless Africa wants to repeat the same mistakes as our grand parents and parents, then it is about time this generation begin to sow the seeds for the future of Africa. Do not under estimate the little contribution you as an individual can give to this greater course, your time, your moral support, your boots on the grounds or in the very least help by keeping the door open to Africation. Collectively all these efforts will bear fruit hopefully sooner than latter. Our parents had a chance with Nkrumah, nothing they did and therefore nothing is what Africa has today.
Africa and Africans have been riding for free on the excuse train, for a very long while now, does Africa want to keep on riding for a bit longer?, does Africa ever want to get of this train?, or best of all will Africa ever decide what train station she will get off this excuse train going to no where?.
These are the questions the African mind, African countries and African leaders must answer; hopefully in the process of reading this book the arguments in support of Africation will become clear and obvious.
