This is granny talking. I think weve met before. Weve shared some silly stories, perhaps adding a laugh wrinkle or two along the way, but I think theres a lot more to grannies than what youve seen so far. After all, weve been around forever, and we listen We hear the voices of our past and the footsteps of angels, and we have a responsibility to bring those sounds into the lives of the young ones we call our grandchildren. I take that responsibility pretty seriously, too. Im lucky enough to be able to spend time with my own. We laugh and share together little rhymes, theirs and mine. I encourage them to think and dream, and I walk with them hand in hand, as we have treasured moments in my secret garden.
In Grandmas secret garden Ill slip myself away And watch for tiny fairies That might come out to play.
Theyll scamper in the fountain And race across the stones. Theyll rest upon my shoulder And find my tickle bones.
