In 1925, a writer from Quincy, Massachusetts built a sturdy 20x16 house on Eastham's outer beach on Cape Cod. From those experiences came the literary classic, The Outermost House, in 1928. Now, 75 years later, the story behind Henry Beston's search for the Great Truth is told in Henry Beston's Cape Cod. From his native Quincy to the horrors of the battlefield in Verdun, France during World War I, and finally to his mystical revelation in Eastham, Henry Beston's Cape Cod takes us back through history, retracing the writer / naturalist's footprints in the dunes of Nauset.
