Biography:
Wayne Eggleston is retired from the United States Air Force after twenty years of honorable service. Born in Battlecreek, Michigan, his family moved every few years with his father’s Air Force career. Wayne graduated from Ringgold High School in north Georgia in 1979 and immediately joined the military. He and Angie met at Ellsworth Air Force Base, South Dakota. Chris was born April 15th, 1981. Wayne’s career included being a firefighter and emergency medical technician and later a command and control specialist, first for the Military Airlift Command and then for the Joint Special Operations Command at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
My Grieving Soul was started within a year of their son’s murder. Wayne has also written articles for several newspapers and magazines, and a hopeful submission to the soon to be published Chicken Soup For The Grieving Soul, all of which deal with grief, the loss of a murdered child, or with school safety.
