Biography:
Becky Mushko, retired middle school teacher and former adjunct English instructor at Ferrum College, has published five books: PATCHES ON THE SAME QUILT (self-published, 2001) and four books through Infinity. Currently a columnist for THE SMITH MOUNTAIN EAGLE, Becky lives in rural Virginia with her husband, horses, dogs, and cats. Her accomplishments include winning the Sherwood Anderson Short Story Contest three times and the Lonesome Pine Short Story Contest five times, a nomination for a 1997 Pushcart Prize, and winning the 1996 Bulwer-Lytton Fiction Contest “Worst Western” division. Her work appears in A CUP OF COMFORT FOR WRITERS (Adams Media, 2007) and IT WAS A DARK AND STORMY NIGHT (Friday Books).
