Biography:
T. Gene Henrikson was born in Illinois and teaches multicultural studies in Queens, New York. He has coined two terms, films to be read, saying “students readily finish a screenplay written for them in less time than reading the book or viewing the video,” and lost secrets, “survivors of murder and genocide have heard the secret stories, but their significance, or deeper meaning, has been lost forever.”
Henrikson has written three murder mysteries about heroes with lost secrets: Allensworth, a forgotten African-American freedom fighter, Anaconda and Luiza, two Taino queens assassinated by Columbus’s brother, and In the Hollow, Roman catacomb priests who are willing to murder in order to preserve the tradition that “only the priests know.”
