Katarzyna Newcomer, born in Poland, studied English language and literature in Poland, England and the United States. A nominee to Pushcart Prize in 2012. She published two books of poetry: “After – something ensues river flows” and “Of the Hills”, both in the Polish language. She organized in Philadelphia a series of poetry by Polish masters, performed by Polish poets and Overbrook Poets in English. Her visual and innovative language was influenced by American landscapes and their allegory; recent wars supplied the material for a unique approach to the conflicts in God’s creation.
