Biography:

The author was born Eugenia Elias in January 1916 in Astoria, Oregon. She was the eldest of three children born to Anastacia and James Elias.
Eugenia married Nicholas Nickolas in January 1937 and they had two daughters. Nick passed away at age 51 leaving her to raise their young daughters. Eugenia found a job working for a decorator and eventually started her own business making window treatments.
Writing poems and essays throughout her life, the author joined the World of Poetry and a local seniors acting group so she could share her words with others.
Eugenia passed away suddenly in 2012 at age 86.

The poems and essays in this book were compiled and prepared for publication by the author’s youngest daughter Anastasia Nickolas Thompson. Anastasia has one married son, a granddaughter, two stepsons and one stepdaughter. She is retired and lives in Oxnard, California, with her husband Gary and their two dogs. read more
