Roosevelt D. Shaw Jr., often called by his middle name, Darryl, is a native of Buffalo, NY. The 3rd oldest of 9 children, he was born October 11, 1964. He was primarily raised in a single family home, after the subsequent divorce of his parents, Roosevelt sr. and the former Sondra A. Williams. His dad is an accomplished musician and a talented drummer. Roosevelt Sr,played with a number of blues bands featuring artist like John Lee Hooker, and Junior wells.
