Biography:
LTC (retired) David L. Stanley was born in Greensboro, North Carolina in 1953. After graduating from Northwest Guilford High School he attended Southern Wesleyan University and earned a BS in Biology and History. He received his Master’s Degree in Entomology from Clemson University. He was a career US Army Officer for 26 years. He has been consumed by United States Military History, especially the little known conflicts like the Spanish American War and the Boxer Rebellion. He and his wife of 35 years Joyce have two children Lindsey Patton and Leah Stanley. Leah is an Army nurse and Lindsey is married to Mr. Drew Patton and she is enrolled in Veterinary School at North Carolina State University.
