Biography:
Dr. Mixson received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maine, and Masters and Phd in Applied Mechanics from the University of Virginia. His career included theoretical and experimental studies of sound and vibration in aircraft and space launch vehicles. He has authored over sixty publications, including a theoretical study of noise transmission through a boundary layer, and the chapter on Aircraft Interior Noise for the book “Aeroacoustics of Flight Vehicles, Theory and Practice”.
