Biography:
J. M. Roman, a Philadelphia native and former veteran newspaperman, knows firsthand the mean streets and alleys of the city of over 100 neighborhoods and its suburbs. Roman first pounded the city’s streets for the former Evening Bulletin and Delaware County Daily Times. He’s covered everything from the tense standoff of millionaire killer John DuPont to the Springfield Mall massacre. He’s visited the families of war casualties from the Vietnam War to Iraq; nearly drowned in a flood disaster that killed 10 people; reported on municipal corruption. Roman doggedly covered countless murders—from breaking news to long unsolved cases.
