James L. Fitch, Ph.D., Professor Emeritus, Department of Communication Disorders, at Auburn University, Auburn, Alabama, has forty plus years of experience as a college instructor and clinician. He has served as a consultant in clinical services for all ages, from preschool programs to facilities for the elderly. He has worked with hospitals, Head Start programs, public schools, speech and hearing clinics and has provided communication training for a major telecommunication company. He has published two books and over forty articles in professional journals. He is a Fellow of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
