Ronald Bilbrey is a prisoner who is known by the Latino community as, “el gringo que habla espanol” (the Spanish speaking American). When he came to prison, he became obsessed with learning the Spanish language and, over a period of six years, he completed ten Spanish courses and studied almost every Spanish grammar book that he found in print. Ronald has taught Spanish classes for prisoners for several years.
