The author was born in the south, but reared and educated in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She’s widowed; and mother of three sons (one tragically deceased) and seven grandchildren whom she adores.

Through the years, she has written periodically for a local religious publication. Upon retiring from the public sector after 35 years of employment, a young at heart hopeless romantic, she chose to continue her literary journey and complete her first fiction novel. She loves books, writing, and the teaching to learn process.

This novel is the result of varied life experiences – love of family, unexpected loss, and recapturing ones passions.
