Cynthia W. Post has found one important lesson from her life. She found that it is better to stumble through an awkward conversation than to hide from reality, This was crystalized for her when Cynthia's friend, Donna, was diagnosed with breast cancer. Donna shared how people she knew would shy away from her because of their uncomfortable feelings. The same thing happened to Cynthia, when she was similarly diagnosed years later. With much help she created the Carrie Flower series to help deliver this message.
