Following a long career in education, the author recently retired to what he hopes will be a less hectic pace. Now living in the house he shared as a child with his mother and sister in Kingsport, Tennessee, he spends time with family and enjoys the beautiful scenery in east Tennessee and southwest Virginia. A former college professor and coauthor of two textbooks and several articles, he is now making the transition from writing scholarly books and articles to writing humorous stories about life in a large family.
