First-time novelist Jacqueline Campos is a native Texan who has lived in Los Angeles since the age of 21. Perfectly Straight – her triumphant first novel – started as a class project. The short story was so well received by her classmates that they persuaded her to make it into a novel. Ms. Campos has also written a screenplay and is currently working on her next novel.
