Edgar Turner is a lifelong resident of Pensacola, Florida, and retired from the banking industry after 34 years. Turner became deaf at the age of six as the result of spinal meningitis, but completed his education through the local school system as a mainstreamed student. He has served on the Board of Trustees of the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind for 27 years.
