Sandra Nunez, B.A., M.A., enjoys being a freelance writer and traveling to distant lands. She grew up in Imperial Valley, California, and credits her sensitivity of cultural competence to this experience. Her degrees from the University of California Irvine, and the University of California Los Angeles, with majors in Anthropology, Social Science, and Latin American Studies, she credits to Divine Providence and her husband, Joe. She has collaborated in several books, including Encyclopedia of Multicultural Psychology, and Latina/o Healing Practices: Mestizo and Indigenous Perspectives. She lives in California.
