Ruth was born in San Diego, CA with her twin brother, Russ Cravens.
They had a creative mother, Betty, who stimulated their imagination
and both became teachers. Ruth attended Mt. St. Mary's College in
L.A. (English, History, and Education major), San Diego State
University (MS in Counseling) and United States International
University (PhD- Human Behavior and Leadership). Ruth is an
accomplished California Poet who has also published internationally
with various awards and honors.Her daughter, Heather, "loved" her
stories and poems when she was younger. Ruth's dream has been to
write stories and poetry for children and at last it has come true.
