Biography:
R.G. Hilson is an avid collector of ghost stories. He lives in a large Victorian styled, country house with his wife, his children and his cats.
He’s a fan of “atmospheric” films and ghost stories. R.G. says that he especially enjoys “a pleasant kind of terror which creeps up on you and entertains.” Moreover, he thinks that just about any story can benefit from “a touch of the supernatural.”
His favourite film is the Uninvited 1944 (Best Ghost Story category). Christmas Carol 1951 (Best Spirited Story category), the Night of the Demon 1958 (Best Horror Story category) and Halfway House 1943 (Best Ghostly Play category) are three more favourites. In addition, his favourite comedy film is Bob Hope in the Ghost Breakers (1940).
Some of his favourite authors include M.R. James and Algernon Blackwood.
R.G. expects he will continue to write about the ghosts of the fort and perhaps a few more places that are haunted. Finding ghosts doesn’t seem to be a problem for him.
