Bernard Lord was born and educated in England. After graduating from London University, he served in the Royal Air Force before pursuing an engineering career. In 1967, he and his family immigrated to the United States where he became employed by the Boeing Airplane Company in Seattle. Seeking sunnier climes he later moved to California. Although engineering has been his primary occupation, his love of literature and experiences in different parts of the world have led him to write two previous novels, The Renaissance Group and Mandrake’s Mission. When not writing, he enjoys listening to classical music.
