D. Pauline James is a graduate of CSULB and holds an honorary Ph.D. in Religious Studies. She is a retired college instructor whose work in plant biology led to research of the human genome. She is married to Bob James, is the mother of six, grandmother of seven, and boasts two great-grandchildren to date. She makes her home in Southern California, but much of her leisure time is spent exploring Central Arizona and New Mexico. Her hobbies include free lance writing, gardening, astronomy, fishing, and camping out under the stars.
