Biography:
Before retiring, Claude A. Green Jr. was one of the highest ranked Black engineers ever employed by Raytheon Engineers and Constructors. The founder of O*u*r*S*t*o*r*y—a company devoted to “putting the color back in history”—he has led over 250 “cultural awareness” workshops to help raise self-esteem in the incarcerated men he ministers. In 2003, he was named “Volunteer of the Year” for his work. In 2004, The Idea Book, the magazine for A&E and the History Channel, awarded him a grant for his ideas on using the History Channel as a prison teaching aid. Green lives in Delaware with his wife, Ernita. They have five children, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
