Erin Rainwater is a Pennsylvania native now living in Colorado. She is an avid researcher of the early years and people of her adopted home. Having served as an Army nurse during the Vietnam War era, her military experience brings a unique knowledge of war injuries and treatments as well as the emotional struggles of individuals who have undergone devastating handicaps, which has helped in writing parts of her novels. As a member of a federal Disaster Medical Assistance Team, she has helped care for disaster victims around the country.
