I have worked for several years as a freelance writer and have had articles published in four different national magazines during the 70 and 80 and published my first book in 1982. In 1998 I had a grandson at the age of 11-years old sent to a Juvenile Detention Facility and it didn’t take long to learn what goes on behind the high fence and the locked doors. In visiting with my grandson and other kids at this facility I quickly learned that these kids had a story that needed to be told. After three years of gathering all the information from the Kids and Staff Members that I could, I decided to tell their story it’s shocking but true. This has not been an easy book to write.
