Biography:
Not only has the author been involved in civil rights, but has co-produced video documentaries on General Benjamin O. Davis, Jr., commander of the WWII Tuskegee Airmen, and James Meredith at Ole Miss. He also produced a cable television series called “The Small Business Workshop” running for six years in San Diego, California.
Shockley also became an army pilot, serving two tours of duty in Vietnam, earning 27 air medals. His picture is displayed in the San Diego Aerospace Museum as an historic Black pilot, breaking the color barrier as the first Black Executive Pilot for a Fortune 500 corporation.
