A widowed mother of two grown sons, lover of nature and adventure, Susan Haley turned a lifelong passion for the written word into a purpose. Now, an award-winning author in both poetry and prose, Amber Returns to Maine - And Other Songs of the Soul is her third book, blending the two genres. She has written many articles, essays and poems and contributes to two National E-zines, The Infinite Writer and Fox and Quill. Susan is the facilitator of the Sarasota County chapter of the Florida Writers Association, for which she also writes a column in the quarterly magazine. When not writing herself, Susan is an independent copy editor and book reviewer.
