Biography:
Al Leader, professional musician for 60 years, was a music teacher, arranger, composer, author and conductor. He started clarinet in grade school, saxophone in Jr. High, piano in High School. He graduated from West Chester University and taught public school music for 33 years. He had three concert band compositions published, and a book for teachers on visual aids. He was guest speaker at the state and national teacher’s conventions. He played in many concert, dance, polka, German and circus bands, symphonic and theatre orchestras. Had own woodwind studio for 42 years. Conducted Rajah Shrine Band and Sr. Citizen Orchestra.
