Jack Myers grew up in the Kingsessing section of Southwest Philadelphia. He attended Longstreth Elementary, Most Blessed Sacrament (MBS), and West Catholic High School for Boys before moving to the suburbs.The author is the former managing editor of the Interboro News, and once owned a pizzeria. He taught school briefly, including a stint at Bartram High in the “old neighborhood.” Currently he writes technical manuals and lives on Philadelphia’s Main Line. A former baseball pitcher and marathoner, Jack is still an avid walker. In his spare time he woks with homeless cats at a local animal shelter. Jack is the author of Row House Days, his 2005 fictionalized memoir about childhood in the “streetcar suburb” of Southwest Philly.
