Biography:
Marie Kramer grew up on a ranch southwest of Atkinson, Nebraska. In 1943, she married Don Krysl and they parented three children: Judy, Vincent, and Donald II. After her husband died, Marie retired from teaching and married Ray Kramer. She then began writing the true Nebraska stories she had collected over the years. The GRANDCHILDREN OF THE PIONEERS, VOLUME TWO, her seventh book, contains accounts from the latter half of the 1900’s. Her other books include HOMESTEAD FEVER, a collection of pioneer stories, four gripping World War II books, and GRANDCHILDREN OF THE PIONEERS, VOLUME ONE.
