Robert K. Scripps lives in Wyckoff, New Jersey with his wife Bessie and his two dogs. He spends his days pursuing his interests in writing, photography, wood carving and the great outdoors. After 20 years as a broadcasting executive and entrepreneur, Mr. Scripps returned to Columbia University in the early nineties to complete his Ph.D. degree in cultural anthropology with a specialization in studies of the elderly. Over the years, his fascination with the implications of America’s rapidly aging demographics has motivated his research into the lives of the very old in a variety of environments.
